Ocean Forum on January 21 in Düsseldorf

The Ocean Forum of the German Ocean Foundation took place on January 21 on the Water Pixel World stage of the Love Your Ocean initiative at boot Düsseldorf. Representatives from universities, NGOs and researchers spoke at the forum, addressing topics such as deep-sea mining, ocean literacy, octopus intelligence and European marine policy. The Ocean Forum focuses on the seven goals of the UN Ocean Decade, which were proclaimed by UNESCO's Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) and are to be achieved by the end of the decade.
